چکیده
We develop a complete and consistent description for the hadron spectra from heavy ion collisions in terms of a few collective variables, in particular temperature, longitudinal and transverse flow. To achieve a meaningful comparison with presently available data, we also include the resonance decays into our picture. To disentangle the influences of transverse flow and resonance decays in the mT -spectra, we analyse in detail the shape of the mT -spectra.

Elliptic flow at collider energies and cascade string models: The role of hard processes and multi-Pomeron exchanges
Centrality, rapidity, and transverse momentum dependence of hadron elliptic flow is studied in Au+Au collisions at BNL RHIC energies within the microscopic quarkgluon string model. The QGSM predictions coincide well with the experimental data at √ s = 130A GeV. Further investigations reveal that multi-Pomeron exchanges and hard gluon-gluon scattering in primary collisions, accompanied by the re...

Rischke RIKEN-BNL Research Center, Brookhaven National Laboratory Upton, NY 11973, USA (September 17, 1998) We calculate the transverse momentum spectra of various hadrons and clusters (π, K, N , Φ, Λ, Ω, d, ΛΛ, He) in central Au+Au at √ s = 200A GeV (RHIC energy) up to pT = 4 GeV within hydrodynamics....

Hadron-hadron collisions at high energies are investigated in the Ultrarelativistic-Quantum-Molecular-Dynamics approach. This microscopic transport model describes the phenomenology of hadronic interactions at low and intermediate energies ( √ s < 5 GeV) in terms of interactions between known hadrons and their resonances. At higher energies, √ s > 5 GeV, the excitation of color strings and thei...
متن کاملAzimuthal Anisotropy of Charged and Identified High pT Hadrons in Au+Au Collisions at RHIC
We report new results on v2(pT ) for Au+Au collisions at √ sNN=200 GeV for charged hadrons, pions, kaons, (anti)protons, K s , and Λ. The analysis is extended to pT = 12 GeV/c for charged hadrons and pT = 4 GeV/c for identified particles. A comparison of the azimuthal anisotropy of charged hadrons measured at √ sNN=130 and 200 GeV is presented. The pT -dependence of baryon versus meson elliptic...
متن کاملPartonic effects on higher-order anisotropic flows in relativistic heavy-ion collisions
Higher-order anisotropic flows v4 and v6 of charged hadrons in heavy-ion collisions at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider are studied in a multiphase transport model that has previously been used successfully for describing the elliptic flow v2 of identified hadrons in these collisions. We find that the same parton scattering cross section of about 10 mb used in explaining the measured v2 of c...
